Bright, sunny & warm. The first seersucker of the summer. For me, summer is most aptly characterized distinctly by madras, linen and seersucker. Apart from seersucker making a an appearance a bit earlier in spring, in the form of a sport coat, these three choices are found in summer, and summer alone.
You can find seersucker sport coats, shorts, pants, short sleeve button downs, and even long sleeve button downs, like what I am wearing in this photograph. In this setting I am pairing this long sleeve pink and white stripe seersucker button down with a pair of chino shorts [6″ inseam] and a blue casual belt. Not pictured are light brown boat shoes. Simple, breezy and seasonally appropriate
